Many Alpha Thetas go on to do interesting things in their careers and lives. We were fortunate to have four brothers (three alumni and one undergraduate) present some of their experiences to about 100 attendees in 6-120.

John shared over 15 years of experience as a leader of Maine's recent
agricultural renaissance, most recently as Executive Director of the
Maine Farmland Trust.

The Economics and Technology of Solar Power
For the last five years, Al has worked for Alpha Theta-founded
SunEdison, an early
innovator in solar power as a service. Al discussed the challenges and benefits of
solar power, how new technology and financing opened markets, and the promise of
solar becoming an unsubsidized peer in the world's power grids.

OKA!
After leaving MIT, Michael hitchhiked across the Sahara Desert, begining a career
in photojournalism in Europe and Africa. Most recently he co–produced the
newly released feature film OKA!,
shot among the Bayaka pygmies in the equatorial rain forest of the
Central African Republic.

Thru–Hiking the Appalachian Trail
Uneasy with the rat race, Gabe took his sophomore spring semester off to
thru–hike the Appalachian Trail. In the process, he raised $11,000 for
juvenile diabetes research from brothers, family, friends, and followers of his
hiking blog Gabe's Journey
